Low Metabolism During Menopause and What to Do About it

If there is one complaint that most women have about menopause or the period of time that is leading up to menopause it’s the fact that their metabolism is slowing down to a crawl. As a result of changes that are going on inside of a woman’s body, including the reduction of key hormones that are being produced, it is not unusual for this to take place. The unfortunate side effect of it is the fact that many women tend to gain weight during menopause that may not come off after their hormone levels have evened out.
